Chimneys

Chimneys take the brunt of British weather, and the lead aprons, step flashings, and backgutters are usually the first points to fail. We re-lead and cap chimneys to ensure your roof remains watertight against driving rain.

When You Need Chimneys

Damp patches on bedroom or loft walls adjacent to the chimney stack. Loose, sagging, or missing lead aprons around the base of the chimney. Stained or spalling brickwork on the chimney stack caused by water ingress. Preparing an older property for roof renovation or re-roofing works.

How We Do It

We erect safe access scaffolding around the chimney stack. We remove failed flashings, mortar fillets, and deteriorated leadwork. We install new code-compliant lead step flashings, front aprons, and backgutters with proper corner bossing. We repoint surrounding brickwork and apply protective finishes where required.

What to Expect

Most chimney re-leading and flashing projects take 1 to 2 days per stack, weather permitting.
