When You Need Leadwork & Flashings
Water stains appearing on interior walls near chimney breasts or roof junctions. Old lead flashings cracking, slipping, or pulling away from the brickwork. Mortar pointing crumbling around existing lead steps and cover flashings. Preparing a heritage or Grade II listed building for scheduled roof maintenance.
How We Do It
We inspect the existing junction and measure up for correct code thickness (BS EN 12588). We carefully rake out old mortar joints and remove degraded leadwork without damaging brick or stone. We dress and shape new lead sheets to BS6915 standards, incorporating correct expansion joints. We secure the lead with appropriate clips and repoint joints with durable sand and cement or proprietary mastic.
What to Expect
Most standard flashing replacements take 1 to 3 days depending on linear footage and site access, with minimal disruption to your property.
