Dormers & Capping

Dormer windows and parapet walls require expert lead dressing to protect timber structures and cornices from moisture. We fabricate and install bespoke lead dormer cheeks, roofs, and stone capping details.

When You Need Dormers & Capping

Water leaking around dormer window frames or interior ceiling corners. Cracked or corroded metal cladding on existing loft conversion dormers. Weathered or loose stone coping and cornice capping stones. Building a new loft conversion or extending an existing roof profile.

How We Do It

We inspect the dormer structure and take precise site measurements for pre-fabrication or on-site dressing. We install breathable membranes and vented timber substrates where necessary. We dress and weld lead sheets to cover dormer cheeks, top roofs, and coping stones securely. We check all welted edges and fixings to ensure complete wind and rain resistance.

What to Expect

Dormer leadwork projects typically take 2 to 4 days depending on the number of dormers and complexity of detailing.
